" Present tense
to be is the Verb e main
verb in English language .but it is an Irregular verb.
e.g: He is a policeman.
They are Taxi-divers.
The boy is in the
bed.
The girl is in the
garden.
Here is verb to
be conjugation
Verb to be can form affirmative ,interrogative and negative sentence by itself.
Here is affirmative form of verb " to be" simple present tense.
We make affirmative form by using subject +verb to be+ Object
e.g: - I am a student in grate 6 .
- You are all from Phnom penh city.
- we are soldiers.
- Sophea is a cleaner in the bank.
- She is a nurse.
- They are red ants.
Here is interrogative form of verb" to be " Simple present tense.
It can make interrogative by putting the verb "be" before subject (subject can be nouns or pronoun).
Here is its form: verb "to be" +Subject+ Object
e.g : - who am I?
- Are you a dentist ?
- What is your job ?
- Is Bob at home ?
- Is that a new car ?
- Are they boys ?

Verb "to be" can make negative form by itself.It makes negative just put not after verb "to be ".
Here is negative form of verb "to be " simple present tense:
Subject+Verb "to be"+not+Object
Here are some more examples:
- I am not a clever student.
- They are not teachers.
- We are not businessmen , we are tourists.

Note:"You" can be singular and plural , but the verb with "You" is always plural.
Examples: - You are a clever student in the class.( singular)
- You are all students in my class.(plural)
